Extra curricula activities have included promotional
work with the Queensland Tourist & Travel Corporation,
a Director of the Australian Institute of Sport and
a presenter for the Nine Networks Wide World of Sport. |

Since 1983, Lisa has been the presenter for Uncle
Tobys Muesli Bars, appearing in many television commercials
promoting the product. This association with Uncle
Tobys has been the longest between any company and
athlete. She is also spokesperson for Fernwood Fitness
Centres, Australia’s largest chain of fitness
and health clubs, catering exclusively for women.
Lisa also supports World Vision as a spokesperson
and helps abandoned and orphaned children in Romania. |

Lisa is the author of a series of fitness books including,
‘Lisa Curry’s Total Health and Fitness’,
Lisa Curry’s Pregnancy and Fitness’, “Lisa
Curry’s Health and Fitness’ and her book,
‘Get Up and Go’, is the number one best
selling sports publication. Her sixth book, ‘Fit
Kids’, was launched by the Prime Minister in
November and is already nearing being a best seller. |

Additionally, with her Olympian and Ironman husband
Grant Kenny, she is a Director of the family company’s
diversified interests, including the division which
produces and markets her own swim and active wear
label – Hot Curry. Hot Curry was the winner
of two prestigious RAQ Fashion Awards in 1998, and
again was an RAQ Finalist in 1999. |

Kenny Group, located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast
and operated by the high profile sporting couple, now has
four divisions including Hot Curry; Curry Kenny Promotions;
Curry Kenny Aviation; and Curry Kenny Developments. |

Another role that Lisa holds is Chairman of the National
Australia Day Council and is the first woman to be appointed
to this prestigious position. She is also Ambassador to
the Office of Status of Women - Honouring Women Program
and is on the Advisory Board of Council for the Encouragement
of Philanthropy in Australia. |

Lisa Curry is also one of Australia’s most successful
keynote motivational speakers, speaking at many national
and international company conferences. |
